Cool desk space

If you don't have a home office or study, then buying furniture that you can integrate in the design scheme of the other room of the house is a good idea. With the Oxford Hidden Desk you can utilize a cozy nook, or unused corner into a convenient, convertible home office. It has spacious drawers which will keep your supplies organized and within reach, while the top of the desk slides out to form a convenient workspace. When not in use, just slide the top back for a space-conscious look that will shine in any decor. It also includes four storage drawers for all your office essentials. The two bottom file drawers hold both letter- and legal-sized documents.

Another option is the SEI White Fold-Out Organizer and Craft Desk which can be put in the corner of the dining area or a kitchen. With the leafs on each side folded down, this desk is as small as a common end table or file cabinet. When you open both sides, it transforms into a very functional 48-inch work area. Three small drawers make room for common items and a lower letter file is perfect for bills and paperwork. This folding organizer desk is surely a unique space saving solution.

If you want integrated bookcase and table space you can try the OSP Fusion Llibrary Desk in Espresso Finish. It provides desk-space and bookcase storage at the same time.

Another furniture that would go either in the living room or the dining area is the Sauder Sewing/ Craft Cart - American Cherry. The drop leaf provides extra work space for sewing or crafts and two adjustable shelves behind door . The storage behind roll-open door includes two storage bins and hidden shelf for sewing machine. The melamine top surface is heat, stain, and scratch-resistant. Aside from that it is on easy-roll casters so you can move it from room to room depending on your needs. If your going to use it as your laptop desk you can hide the printer on the hidden shelf.

If you don't want to occupy valuable floor space you can have a wall mounted SEI Black Fold-Out Convertible Desk. That is if you are handy, have a stud finder, screw gun and knows how to use them.

Another option is Howard Miller 915-029 Ty Pennington Hobby Cart by Howard Miller. It has five movable shelves, three wicker baskets, a discreet power strip and an extendable work surface.
